Mum Recreates Her First Day Of School Picture With Her Own Daughter Almost 20 Years Later

A mum has recreated the photos of herself on her first day of primary with her own daughter who was nervous about heading off to school.

Samantha Price's four year-old, Niamh, started today at the same school her mother attended in the 1990s.

To reassure her nervous daughter about her first day the 24-year-old got her to pose in the same uniform and outside the same house she had done 19 years ago.

Samantha and Niamh both wore the same blue-and-white ginghm summer dress and blue knitted cardigan.

Even her white pop socks and black Mary-Jane shoes were similar and both little girls wore their blonde hair with a fringe.

The mum-of-one said: "There was a teaching assistant who was there when I was there.

"She thought she recognised Niamh but when she realised, she said how quickly the time had gone.

"My dad says I'm the spitting image, he sees me in Niamh when I was her age."
